Another Mukumu Girls’ student dies from food poisoning

A week after Sacred Hearts Mukumu Girls High School in Kakamega County was closed indefinitely after two students died and others were hospitalized following a food poisoning incident, another death case has been reported.

The student died while receiving treatment at the Kakamega County Hospital after doctors found out that she was ailing as a result of food poisoning.

Nation.Africa reported that four girls are still hospitalized, according to Kakamega County Health Executive Bernard Wesonga.

Last week, Butere Boys High School was also closed indefinitely over a similar case.
