Manchester City put on a showstopping performance to secure their place in the Champions League semi-finals, despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Bayern Munich at the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday.
The game was packed with suspense from the get-go, with City’s star striker Erling Haaland missing a penalty in the first half, leaving fans on the edge of their seats. However, Haaland quickly made up for it with an incredible goal in the 57th minute, taking his tally for the season to a jaw-dropping 58 goals.
Man City came into the game brimming with confidence after their 3-0 victory over Bayern at the Etihad Stadium last week. The Bavarians, however, were determined to defend their home turf and salvage some pride. Joshua Kimmich breathed new life into the match with an 83rd-minute penalty, converting a handball into a goal and preventing Bayern from going down without a fight.
Despite the setback, Manchester City are now looking ahead to their next challenge in the semi-finals, where they will face defending champions Real Madrid in what promises to be a thrilling clash of titans.
