Khetia’s Supermarket opens new branch in Webuye town

The commercial giant is slowly becoming a monopoly in Bungoma County.

Khetia’s Supermarket has expanded to Webuye town after it was officially launched today.

The new store, located along Biashara Street, takes over the space initially occupied by Tridev Supermarket, a retailer that closed just recently.

Khetia’s Webuye will be the fifth branch in Bungoma County, in addition to the three in Bungoma town and one at Kanduyi, and adds to the retail outlets in Kitale, Kisumu, Busia, Eldoret, Kakamega, and Nairobi.

The launch was graced by Ashok Khetia, the commercial giant’s business director.

Fredrick Ochieng, Khetia’s marketing manager, told the Western Kenya Times that the store has retained all 30 employees of the defunct Tridev Supermarket.

Mr. Ochieng encouraged residents to shop at the supermarket for pocket-friendly prices and a variety of goods.
