Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has been set on a bond of Sh200,000 or cash bail of Sh100,000.
The MP was arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts early Friday morning after spending three days in police custody.
Babu is set free after the prosecution failed to establish a compelling reason to warrant the denial of bail.
Owino was arrested shortly after arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on charges of subversion charges alongside six others in the ongoing anti-government protests.
He was taken to Wang’uru Police Station in Mwea, Kirinyaga County, where he is said to have spent the night.
