Kakamega Homeboyz are confident that they will start their CAF Confederation Cup campaign with a win.
Homeboyz, who won the 2022–2023 FKF Cup, are facing Al Hilal Benghazi of Libya at 3 p.m. today at the Nyayo Stadium in their first appearance in continental football.
Homeboyz coach Patrick Odhiambo has expressed confidence that his men have the might to take on their Libyan opponents at the first preliminary round match at home before their return leg is scheduled for August 27 in Libya.
“The club is only ten years old, with no continental football experience, but we have good players who have great experience at this level,” Odhiambo said during a training session at the Nyayo Stadium on Friday.
The tactician said his players are in good form and really pumped up for the game.
“What’s left is for the fans to show up in good numbers to support us,” he added.
