Boda boda riders want MCA Grey Moi to fulfil promise of constructing sheltersBoda boda riders at the Angate Junction stage along the Makutano-Turbo road are calling upon Lugari Ward MCA Grey Moi to fulfil his promise of constructing shelters for them. They say the MCA promised to complete the task once the case challenging his win in court was done. The riders, led by Shadrack Juma, now want the ward representative to turn his words into action now that the case that was hindering him from fulfilling many of the promises he made to residents is out of court.”The ongoing El Nino rains and the hot sun during the day have become a big challenge to our work. We are calling upon MCA Moi to fulfil his promise and construct for us a shed and make our work efficient,” Juma said. While waiting for customers, the riders are forced to squeeze themselves under a tree to shelter from the extreme heat from the sun and go home when it rains

Support our Journalism
The Western Kenya Times is a digital media platform with more than 500,000 email subscribers and followers across all social media platforms. It was founded in March 2020, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, by a team of young professionals in the media industry.
We have grown to be one of the most reliable, independent, factual, and highly admired digital media platforms in Kenya because of our journalism, which has impacted hundreds of families and enabled children to join school, continue with their studies, and get food.
From the very beginning, we have relied solely on our own resources to sustain this incredible work. However, we firmly believe that our growth potential knows no bounds, and we invite you to be a part of our journey.
