Boda boda riders at the Angate Junction stage along the Makutano-Turbo road are calling upon Lugari Ward MCA Grey Moi to fulfil his promise of constructing shelters for them.
They say the MCA promised to complete the task once the case challenging his win in court was done.
The riders, led by Shadrack Juma, now want the ward representative to turn his words into action now that the case that was hindering him from fulfilling many of the promises he made to residents is out of court.
“The ongoing El Nino rains and the hot sun during the day have become a big challenge to our work. We are calling upon MCA Moi to fulfil his promise and construct for us a shed and make our work efficient,” Juma said.
While waiting for customers, the riders are forced to squeeze themselves under a tree to shelter from the extreme heat from the sun and go home when it rains
