
Some areas in Western Kenya will experience power outage/Courtesy
The Kenya Power and Lighting Company, KPLC, has announced power interruptions in three counties in Western Kenya for the better part of Saturday.
KPLC has indicated in a statement that Busia, Bungoma, and Trans Nzoia counties will go without power for some time on Saturday.
In Bungoma, areas including the Bungoma CBD, Khetias Crossroad, Coolbase Hotel, Adatia Wholesalers, Tourist Hotel, Oldrex, Mulaha and adjacent areas will experience power interruptions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Parts of Busia County to experience power interruptions include Malaba, Kenya Revenue Authority Malaba, National Cereals and Produce Board, Railway Station, Acunet, Malabe Primary School, White Castle, Garden Bag Restaurant, Serengeti, and Angurai, among others, from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
In Trans Nzoia County counties, Section 6, Swara, Veterinary, Lessos, Mudavadi, Namanjalala, Kipsitwet, Kimaran, Maridadi, Kobos, Umoja, Maili 11, Ziwakati, Keiyo, Kwanza, Kanyarkwet, Keese, Kapkoi, and adjacent areas will be affected.
Cherenganyi Nursing Home, Annex Prison, Muthoni, Sirende, Maili Saba, Village Inn, Siyenga, Sirende, Machungwa, and Toro will also experience power interruptions from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
