Form Four student killed, nine houses torched over suspected love triangle in Vihiga

A Form Four student has been killed over what is suspected to be a love affair gone sour in Cheptulu, Vihiga County.

The incident, which occurred on Monday around 9 p.m., led to the torching of nine houses and the theft of livestock in retaliation.

The boy, identified as Clinton, is said to have been murdered by his colleagues in a fight for a girl in the village.

The home of the suspect was raided, houses burned down and crops cut down.

Local police commander Hamisi Ruth Langat said two suspects have been arrested following the raid.
