Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera captivated his audience with an impassioned message from the word of God during a church service last Sunday.
Accompanied by his wife, former nominated Senator Daisy Nyongesa Nabwera, the lawmaker took it upon himself to deliver the sermon, surprising many with his mastery of the art of preaching, evident in his tone of voice and the register required of a typical preacher.
“They sing hallelujah; they sing Hosanna! You’ll see fire and run away; you’ll see the storm and hide! Who is ready for the fire? Who is ready for the storm? The Bible says in verse four that heaven and earth will witness his glory. The world is you, hello! Heaven is you who will be saved, hello!” Nabwera rallied the church members with a word from Hebrews 11:1–7.
His wife, referring to herself as the First Lady of Lugari, continually cheered him on with enthusiastic “Amens.”
“True faith will ensure the storm passes, and you’ll rise to meet the God of heaven and earth, hallelujah,” Nabwera continued.
Madam Daisy admired her husband’s reverence for the word of God and unwavering faith.
“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord,” she shared on Facebook, quoting Joshua 24:14–15.
