The Identity of the man who hid in a plane’s wheel on Sunday has been unravelled by the Dutch military police as a 22-year-old Kenyan.
The stowaway reportedly hopped onto a Cargolux Italian -operated cargo plane that flew from South Africa to Amsterdam, making a stopover in Nairobi, arriving safely after 11 hours.
His body temperature was raised to save his life before the ambulance arrived, buying time for him to answer some questions.
Police spokesman, Bruno Shiosho said with his identy established, they shall now open a file to investigate the matter as he seeks asylum in the Netherlands.
Investigations are underway to determine if the man hopped onto the plane in South Africa or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya.
It still remains to be a mystery how the man survived 11-hour flighy from South Africa, if indeed he got to it in Johannesburg.
In the past five years, seven stowaways have been found on planes in the Netherlands, only two of them were alive.
