Bungoma town buzzing with excitement in readiness for the Madaraka Day celebrations

Excitement is brewing in Bungoma County as the countdown to Madaraka Day on June 1st continues.

This year, the national celebrations will be held at the new Masinde Muliro Stadium, making it a historic moment for the region.

The stadium is expected to accommodate over 14,700 attendees with a focus on ensuring a smooth celebration that reflects the national importance of the day.

Preparations are in high gear, with officials reporting near completion, with Interior PS Raymond Omollo assuring Kenyans of a remarkable event.

The Masinde Muliro Stadium has undergone extensive renovations to accommodate the large crowds and host the official ceremonies.

Security arrangements are a top priority. The Ministry of Interior and National Administration is working closely with local authorities to ensure a safe and secure environment for all attendees.

This year’s Madaraka Day celebrations focus on agriculture and food security and the festivities will culminate in a State Luncheon hosted at the Bungoma County Commissioner’s residence.
