Musician Bahati has released a video of a collaboration he did with ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga.
The visuals include a number of political celebrity cameos including Embakasi South MP Babu Owino, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.
Sharing a poster of the video on his Instagram account, Bahati wrote, “I told you this is historic!!! I took Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga to the studio for the first time and we made the collabo of the year.”
Within the first four hours of its premier on YouTube, the video had gained over 100,000 views.
Previously, Raila had a cameo in Emmanuel Musindi’s ‘Leo Ni Leo remix’.
In Leo Ni Leo remix, Raila performs alongside the Luhya sensation with backup dancers doing what they do best.
Raila has been using the remix in his campaigns ahead of the August general elections. Such songs are used to create seasonal catch phrases that help popularize politicians.
This new song, Fire, is expected to form his campaign playlist including metaphors such as “Vijana, Fire!” capitalizing on the youths who are readily available ‘voters.’
