Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has officially pulled out of the Kakamega County gubernatorial race in favor of current senator Cleophas Malala.
Khalwale will now vie for the Senate seat following a deal with Deputy President William Ruto at his Karen home today in the presence of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula.
This implies an end to the Khalwale-Malala feud on who should be given the ticket to vie for the gubernatorial seat in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
