Annate Vulinga is the top student at Lugari Primary School in the KCPE 2021 after scooping 380 marks out of the possible 500.
The brilliant girl scored 73 in English, 73 in Kiswahili, 83 in Mathematics, 73 in Science and 78 in Social Studies and Religious Education.
“I am happy for performing well, though I expected more than 400 marks,” a jubilant Annate, who was index one in the exam, said on phone.
The proud candidate said she would like to join Bunyore Girls High School and become a doctor in future.
Her father John Mboga said he is happy for her daughter for being on top of her class.
“She is a bright girl and I was obviously expecting good results. I am happy for the good work,” he said on phone.
Leah Ondiso from Annate’s class scored 349 marks as Graca Michael scooped 327 marks, in no particular order since the full list is not out.
The Western Kenya Times also confirmed that candidates who caused a stir for sitting ‘photocopied papers’ received their results.
