Linnet Chepkorior ‘Toto’ is now the subject of media houses and an internet sensation after beating all odds to emerge the winner in the UDA party Bomet Woman Representative nominations.
The 24-year-old has trounced bigwigs in the hotly contested race that attracted 10 participants, including the incumbent Joyce Korir.
Chepkorir seems not to know the meaning of giving up. Word in the street says she earlier attempted to access DP Ruto’s residence in Karen, Nairobi, only to be blocked at the entrance by the security who accused her of intruding the meeting meant for aspirants seeking nomination tickets.
Her bearing thick skin, required in this year’s elections, Chepkorir insisted that she was to be part of the process because she was among aspirants from the South Rift.
“Eventually, after about an hour, I was allowed in after I showed them my passcode to the meeting; electronically generated for members who have paid UDA aspirants’ fee of KSh6,000,” she had told Nation in a past interview.
The ambitious girl graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Chuka University in 2021.
