Youths from Mautuma Ward in Lugari Sub-County, Kakamega County, have been urged to come out in large numbers and apply for the national identity cards.
Mbagara Sub-Location assistant chief Joseline Naliaka, speaking at his office, said the exercise, which is kicking off this Wednesday across at Munge Market, is a great opportunity for the youths to register.
“We shall have mobile registration of National Identity cards in the entire Mautuma and we are encouraging young people to come out in large numbers, ” she said.
She added that the main aim of having mobile registration is to make it easy for people who live far away and can’t access the assistant chief’s offices.
“We have decided to do this exercise near people to save the distance and make them come in large numbers,” she said.
The administrator is requesting people to cooperate and make the work of the officers easy.
“I would like to tell the people of Mautuma Ward to try to make the exercise run smoothly,” she concluded.
