Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya is among leaders who have congratulated Narc-Kenya’s Martha Karua after she was chosen by Azimio One Kenya Alliance presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga as his running mate.
Oparanya, taking to his Twitter account, praised Karua for being “an inspiration to women and Kenyans at large”.
The Governor, who was appointed CS Treasury in case Odinga wins the election, added that their team is now complete.
“Our team is now complete. We are in this struggle to make sure we change the lives of Kenyans. The team we have now will be able to change this country,” he said while speaking to the media after the announcement yesterday at KICC.
Raila Odinga announced that he would be vying for the presidency with Karua deputizing him. The declaration was met by mixed reactions, with many applauding the decision, terming it as a new awakening for Kenya.
