The driver of a truck is nursing serious injuries after he rammed into a moving lorry along the Panpaper-Turbo road in Mautuma Ward, Lugari Sub-County.
The area chief, Pamela Davada Kulali, has told the Western Kenya Times a tractor transporting sugarcane for the West Kenya Sugar Company collided head to head with a yellow truck at around 5.30 AM today.
“The driver, known as Abraham Lagat, was removed from the lorry and given first aid before he was rushed to a nearby dispensary and transferred by ambulance to Webuye Hospital owing to his critical condition,” Mrs. Lulali said.
The driver of the tractor did not sustain any injuries.
The chief added that they have informed West Kenya about the accident and has urged drivers to be keen this rainy season.
