The ward is part of Wangamati’s plan to improve the county’s health sector.

Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati yesterday commissioned all-new maternity at Sinoko Heath Centre in Ndivisi Ward, Kimilili Sub-County.

Speaking during the opening of the facility, the county boss said that it is his ambition to make sure women who want to deliver walk a short distance to access the service.

“The health sector is one of the pillars in my government and it was in my plan to upgrade Sinoko Health Centre into a sub-county level hospital,” he said.

The 35-bed capacity facility is part of the initial steps taken by Wangamati to improve the health sector in the county.

“For now, everything is okay. Our women will not walk for long distances in search of health services,” he added.
