Pep Guardiola: I have never seen a team like Liverpool before

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised Liverpool for pushing his team to bring out their best and win the English Premier League Cup 2021/22, for the second time in a row.

The Cityzens staged a perfect comeback against Aston Villa who were leading 2-0 in the last quarter of the second half to seal its hold on the cup with a 3-2 win.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, who were playing Wolves at Anfield, secured a brazen 3-1 win to come a close second on the table.

Pep Guardiola said Liverpool’s consistency is what makes Man-City work so hard season by season.

“I have never seen a team like Liverpool in my life. I know it’s tough but big congratulations. They help us be better season by season. They push us!” The Spaniard told Sky Sports.

City won the cup with 93 points ahead of Liverpool who had 92.
