Endebess parliamentary aspirant on the ODM ticket, Moses Masinde, has complained that planners for Raila’s tour, scheduled for this Friday in Trans Nzoia County, have sidelined him.
Addressing members of the press in Kitale, Moses Masinde complained that the Saboti Member of Parliament, Caleb Amisi, has sidelined him in planning for Odinga’s Trans Nzoia tour scheduled for tomorrow.
“I was not involved in the Trans Nzoia planning and this will not cause me to remain behind. It is better to work as a team than work alone as a ranger in such a function that requires us to pull our efforts together,” he said.
When asked why he thought he was being sidelined, Masinde said the Trans Nzoia Odinga’s visit planners, most of them DAP-K members, may be having the motive to siphon the resources meant for the rally at the expense of other party members from ODM.
Other ODM officials, who did not want their names mentioned, also raised the same complaint.
The politician, a diehard of the former Prime Minister, has, however, vowed that nothing will bar him from supporting the Azimio la Umoja presidential flag bearer to ensure he gets enough votes in Trans Nzoia.
Masinde on title deeds
Masinde has urged Raila Odinga to talk to President Uhuru Kenyatta about issuing 11,880 title deeds for the 54 parcels of land within the county before this year’s election.
According to Masinde, the land documents may help locals apply for loans from financial institutions and better equip themselves financially.
He also asked the government to settle landless people without delay.
Raila is expected in Trans Nzoia County tomorrow on a tour that will start at Sirwo Resort and later make stopovers at Sibanga in Cherangany Constituency, Chepchoina in Endebess Constituency, Index and Kinyoro in Saboti Constituency, and finally Sirende in Kiminini Constituency.
