ODM parliamentary aspirant for Lugari, Nabii Nabwera, has said that he will keep the next Kakamega government that he hopes will be formed by Fernandes Barasa and Ayub Savula, on toes.
Speaking after being cleared to vie for the legislative seat at the Lumakanda IEBC headquarters, the former Kakamega Chief of Staff decried the sickening condition of the health sector in the county and promised to ensure the issue is addressed by the next government.
“We will not allow our women to go for operations in Webuye while we have our hospitals here in Kakamega County that can do that,” he said.
Mr. Nabii, who lost in both the 2013 and 2017 general elections, added that he will act as a watchdog for the next government that he hopes will be formed by former KETRACO CEO Fernandes Barasa and the current Lugari MP Ayub Savula.
He said Kakamega needs worthy health facilities.
On matters at home, the hopeful MP said Mautuma Ward and Lugari Sub-County at large need good social amenities such as a good road network.
“If elected in August, I will amass more resources and create a suitable environment for the business sector, such as bodaboda riders and mama mbogas,” he said.
He also said that he will make sure the Turbo- Makutano is tarmacked to ease the movement of goods and services across Lugari Sub-County and Kakamega County at large.
