Trans Nzoia gubernatorial candidate Jim Nduruchi has called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT, to ensure 4G network is available in the country during the August general election.
Speaking to the Western Kenya Times in Kitale on Monday after being cleared by the IEBC to vie as an independent candidate, Nduruchi said manual transmission is not reliable and trusted.
Nduruchi further challenged IEBC to solve voters’ grievances and update their system to allow them to vote.
The politician also challenged his fellows and their supporters to campaign peacefully without causing chaos during this electioneering period.
His running mate, Luke Naibei, asked youths and religious organizations to back Nduruchi for the betterment of Trans Nzoia County.
Naibei refuted claims that the county seat is a two-horse race and challenged electorates to make wise decisions in the ballot box, urging them to vote for a person and not a party.
