ODM leader Raila Odinga has officially made public his bid for the presidency in the 2022 general elections.
Odinga, 76, announced this today in his speech at the Azimio la Umoja Convention held today at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi.
“I ask for nothing, and I will never ask for anything, except the opportunity to serve,” he said.
The former Prime Minister has also launched the Azimio la Umoja Movement which is part of his machinery as the elections fast approach.
The ODM patron will prioritize, among others, unity agenda, teachers’ welfare, national healthcare, employment and economic recovery.
This is now the fifth time Odinga is trying out the presidency after four failed attempts in 1997, 2007, 2013 and 2017.
