A total of 12 parliamentary candidates will appear on the ballot in the forthcoming August 9 polls after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission cleared them.
Jeremiah Kerich, the Lugari Sub-County Returning Officer, said all candidates that presented their papers were successfully cleared.
Alex Atingo of ANC, Nabii Nabwera of ODM, Bryan Munika Liseche of UDP, Isaac GM Andabwa of DAP-K, Charles Tunga of UDA, Jairus Omaya of PDU, and James Luchivia of Safina are among those who will feature on the ballot.
Others are vying as independent candidates: Edgar Ogonya, Philemon Otindo, Joseph Ogonyo Obura, Patrick Lihanda and Henry Shitanda.
Mr. Kerich added that a total of 80 candidates were cleared for the MCA seats in all the five wards of Lugari.
