Former Lugari MP Ayub Savula, who is also running mate to Fernandes Barasa in the Kakamega gubernatorial race, has promised every needy home in the county KShs 2,000 every month as part of their government’s social protection plan.
Speaking while rallying Shinyalu residents to vote for his camp in the forthcoming August 9 general elections, Savula said the initiative is geared towards uplifting individuals from vulnerable homes.
“My governor, Fernandes Barasa, and I will provide KShs 2000 cash transfer to poor, vulnerable, and older people in identified deserving households in addition to Baba’s KShs 6000,” he said.
The seating MP continued by saying that their government will provide equal opportunities to all in line to boost the economy of the county.
“We as Kakamega residents, are ready to conquer poverty and create more opportunities for our youth and women. Give us your votes and we will make a change,” he said.
