A student of Mukonge Secondary School in Lugari is cooling his heels at the Turbo Police Station after allegedly killing his classmate in a fight in the school compound.
The two were playing in the school field on Friday evening after exams before a fight ensued after a quarrel over an unknown issue.

Confirming the incident, Mukuyu Sub-Location assistant chief, Ainea Oyuchi, said the suspect could have killed the deceased after kicking him in the stomach and rendering him unconscious.
The deceased was rushed to the Mautuma Sub-County Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The suspect surrendered himself after vanishing following the incident and after the police launched a thorough search.
The deceased student’s body is lying at the Kimbilio Mortuary in Uasin Gishu County.
