A newly born baby was yesterday found wrapped in a box and dumped at a stall in Nandi Hills town market in Nandy County.
The owner of the stall, Getrude Jepkosgey, and his father stumbled on the box while opening up their business for the day.
They first thought someone had placed a luggage in their business place without their permission. They were, however, awe-struck to find it was a little baby alive and kicking.
Upon rushing it to hospital, it was confirmed that it was in good health.
Getrude says that this is the second incident of a baby being left behind as the cases become rampant in Nandi East.
Police are tracking the owner of the baby to bring them to book as the little soul receives medical care.
