Lugari Sub-location assistant chief, Shadrach Miheso, who confirmed the incident, has called on members of the public to help trace the woman’s home.

“It is not the first time this woman has been seen around. The first time we spotted her we took her back to Nzoia but after some time she is back. We have reported the matter to the children’s department in Lumakanda in an effort to try to help the kid,” he told the Western Kenya Times.

Mr. Miheso added that the woman cooks her meals at the university compound and sleeps on the cold floor with her baby.

“Residents give her some food to eat and other things,” he said.
