Oparanya commissions Lumakanda-Mwamba road in Lugari

The bitumen raod was launched in 2019.

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya has today commissioned a 7km Lumakanda-Mwamba tarmac road that was launched in 2019 at a cost of Sh5 million.

Oparanya was accompanied by August 9 General Election candidates allied to the Azimio la Umoja camp at the function held in Lumakanda and attended by members of the public.

In his speech, the county boss thanked the people of Lugari and Kakamega as a whole for supporting his leadership for the 10 years he has been in office.

“Thanks people of Lugari and Kakamega County for voting for me in 2013 and 2017. We will continue the track record in Lugari and Kakamega. When I get out of office, I am not going to retire from serving you, I will continue working,” he said.

Oparanya urged Lugari residents to choose Fernandes Barasa as his successor, Nabii Nabwera as te next MP for Lugari, Brian Lishenga as Senator and Elsie Muhanda as Women Rep.

“Choose Raila Odinga as the next President of Kenya,” he emphasized.

Oparanya has also launched the Northern Governor’s office in Panpaper in Mautuma Ward, Lugari Sub-county.

“The county services have been brought nearer,” he said.
