Former students of Lugari Primary School in Lugari Location have unanimously endorsed John Mukulo as their preferred candidate for the Lugari Ward Member of the County Assembly (MCA) seat in Tuesday’s general election.
Led by their Secretary General Dallphine Adisa, the alumni met Mr. Mukulo at his home in Maji Mazuri Village at a function attended by at least 110 old boys and girls of the school.
“We the alumni of Lugari Primary School endorse one of our own for MCA seat Lugari Ward. This man Mukulo is hardworking, loving, industrious, hardworking loyal, religious, and a man of integrity and a high level of moral standards. We have no doubt that he will not only perform but also reclaim the lost glory in youthful leaders hidden among our people,” Ms Adisa said in her speech during the function.
Ms Adisa said this is the second time they are convening a meeting to chat a way forward in assisting Mr. Mukulo clinch the seat being left behind by outgoing Musa Wangila Makhapila.
“Other members have shown their support in groups on social media. This time round, we want a young person who understands our problems. This is an opportunity to nurture a youthful person for the future of our community,” she said, adding that Mukulo passed all their requirements for a potential leader.
Mr. Mukulo will be facing 19 others in the ballot on Tuesday in a race attracting 15,000 voters in Lugari Ward.
