Lugari, the home constituency of former MP and apparent Kakamega deputy governor, Ayub Savula, voted massively for his gubernatorial bid and in support of Fernandes Barasa as governor in the just concluded gubernatorial elections.
According to provisional results, out of the total 33,611 valid votes cast, Fernandes Barasa and Ayub Savula managed to get 20,280, maintaining a distant lead against their closest competitor, Cleophas Malala of ANC, who garnered 13,331 votes.
Barasavula won in 4 out of six wards as shown in the table below.
