A man in Mbagara Village of Mautuma Ward, Lugari Sub-county, is nursing serious injuries after his brother hit him with a stool after an argument elicited during land talks.
His brother, identified as Njomo, is said to have stood up in fury, seized a stool and heaved it at Josephat Ojwang, hitting him on the head in the presence of the father and their other brother, Nagei.
“It’s an issue of land. Their father had called them to settle an agreement on dividing a piece of land before the atmosphere became tense and they began fighting,” a witness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said.
Mr. Ojwang was rushed to Mlimani Sub-county Hospital where he was treated and discharged.
The case was reported at Mlimani Police Station.
“We received a case of brothers assaulting each other, who came and recorded a statement,” a police officer said.
