Villagers in Lugari in shock after a man defiled a goat leading to its death

The man dragged the animal from its grazing place to the point where he defiled it.

Residents of Mlimani area in Lugari Station in Lugari Constituency, Kakamega County, are still coming to terms with an incident in which an unknown person defiled a goat, leading to its death.

Mr. Benson Manyonge Sirengo said his goat, which had been taken to the fields to graze, was found dead with its reproductive body parts mutilated and a male reproductive fluid oozing out.

“I was called by my wife to be told that one of my goats had been found dead in an unusual way. The man covered the animal with a raincoat and tied it with rubber by the mouth and managed to do the unthinkable,” he said.

Mr. Manyonge said residents flocked to the scene in shock to witness it for themselves and then set out to find whoever was culpable.

“No one has been traced from the incident yet. We just suspect it may be one of the many youths who have plunged into drug abuse and smoking marijuana,” he said.

He reported the incident to area village elder Said Hassan, who in turn informed assistant chief Shadrach Miheso.
