Phaustine Werimo aka Mama Nyundo who passed away while receiving treatment/ODM
Condolences continue to pour in following the death of Kakamega County Nominated MCA Phaustine Werimo, popularly known as Mama Nyundo.
Mama Nyundo passed away at the Agha Khan Hospital in Kisumu after an unsuccessful operation to remove a blood clot from her leg, according to ODM Party leader and former Kakamega County Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
“It is with deep sorrow that I learn the untimely death of a Nominated Member of Kakamega County Assembly Phaustine Werimo,” Oparanya said.
The former county premier eulogized Mama Nyundo as a diehard and loyal member of the Orange Democratic Movement Party (ODM).
“She defended our party policies with unrivalled gusto and passion , earning her the name , Mama Nyundo – a true soldier and mother of ODM Party in Kakamega County and the entire Western Region,” Oparanya added.
