Lugari: Rastaman in police custody for defiling two primary school pupils

He allegedly locked them in his house and defiled them in turns

A 30-year-old man is being held at Lumakanda Police Station in Lugari Sub-county, Kakamega County, for defiling two minors.

The suspect, Richard Wafula, was allegedly arrested after he was found locked inside a room with the two primary school pupils aged 14 each in his house in Kambi Moto Village in Munyuki Sub-location, Lumakanda Ward.

Lumakanda Location Chief Celestine Asige said she worked with the area nyumba kumi and managed to corner the suspect who is accused of defiling the minors in turns.

A resident told West FM that it is not the first time the man has been arrested for the same case.

“Last year he was arrested for defiling two other pupils in a sugarcane plantation, but I don’t know how he was released after I handed him to the police,” he said.

The suspect is also accused of threatening to kill his victims if they report him.

Police are investigating the incident before the suspect is arraigned in court.
