Property worth thousands of shillings has been destroyed in a fire at Teremi High School in Bungoma County today.
Efforts by firefighters and students to put out the fire bore no fruits as the whole building was engulfed in flames whose cause is unknown, although eyewitnesses said the fire was caused by a faulty electric connection.
The school’s former students are now calling upon well-wishers to donate money to build a new dormitory.
