A family in Mbagara Sub-location of Mautuma Ward, Lugari Sub-county, is seeking for justice after a trailer hit three of its members, leaving them with serious injuries.
Francis Masinde, one of the victims, said he, carrying his daughter and his son, were between Maguti and Musembe along the Eldoret-Webuye highway heading to Lwandeti to visit his other son who was staying with her in-law when he encountered a fatal accident.
He said the driver of a trailer lost control and hit the motorbike they were travelling on.
“Two trailers were overtaking each other when the driver of one lost control and hit our motorbike from the rear. My daughter Cynthia Masinde,17, a candidate at Immaculate Secondary school, was hit and lost two teeth,” he said.
His daughter’s mouth was seriously injured and she fell unconscious for eight hours, he added.
His son Sterling Masinde was injured on the face, the right leg and on his hands but is now in a stable condition unlike his sister.
Masinde himself was severely injured on his right hand, which is now bandaged.

He said he is the breadwinner of his family and it is now hard to provide for them basic needs.
The vehicle with registration numbers KBQ 127G, Masinde said, was then taken to Lumakanda Police Station following the accident.
“When we went there in the morning, it was not there. We are stranded we don’t know what to do because no comment has come from the station,” Mr. Masinde lamented.
He is now appealing to anyone to offer him help to bring the driver of the ill-fated truck to book.
