Trans Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya on Tuesday hosted Elizabeth Robai Lukelesia, a Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) student caught in a viral video making dance moves to the excitement of a bedridden toddler and the Kitale Level IV Hospital.
The Governor shared a moment with the 22-year-old nurse trainee and pledged to offset her tuition fee balance for the remaining period of studies and ensure that she gets an internship and is later absorbed as a pediatric nurse.
“I have pledged to offset her tuition fees for the remaining period of her studies, further ensure she gets internship and finally be absorbed to serve as a pediatric nurse. Congratulations Elizabeth Robai your effort and dedication have paid off,” the governor tweeted.
Elizabeth’s video went viral and has so far gained a million views and hundreds of comments since it was posted on Tuesday afternoon.
The nurse decided to raise the spirits of the young lad who was admitted with a fractured leg after noticing his low mood. She made stunning moves on the popular “Baby Shark Doo Doo” kids’ song to the delight of the little boy, who watched happily and even tried copying the moves in bed.
“I am passionate about dancing. It is inborn. It feels nice to be part of the society or culture that promotes wonderful things in this life. Especially when I’m giving medications, because hao ni watoto, I go to them with some kind of movement that is able to fascinate them,” the young nurse said as reported by Citizen Digital.
