Villagers retrieving the body of the girl from the well/Nation
A 4-year-old girl who went missing for three days has been found alive in a disused well in Kirinyaga County.
The girl from Mburi Village was found dumbed in a 40-foot dry well after her cry was spotted by two women who were collecting firewood.
According to Nation, the women peeped into the well and saw the girl in her full school uniform and raised alarm to the attention of other villagers.
The incident has been linked to criminals ambushing the girl on her way back home from school, kidnapped her before dumping her into the well.
According to her father, Bernard Mugo, she had no visible injuries and was taken to Kirinyaga Sub-county Hospital where she was admitted for treatment.
Detectives in Kirinyaga East Sub-county said they were investigating the incident.
