A man in Mukuyu Village of Mautuma Ward, Lugari Sub-county in Kakamega County, wants his wife arrested stealing his underclothes, ash, money and other household items.
Victor Otieno, 27, told the Western Kenya Times that his wife, Ann Muyuga, went missing after stealing his underwear, vest, 20 kg of maize and money worth KSh10,000 while he had gone to hospital to seek medication.
“It was on Saturday when she said that she was not feeling well and I decided to go to look for medicine because her stomach was aching. When I came back, and because my dad was not around, I found her missing and my valuables not in the house,” he said.
The man reprimanded the woman for lacking gratitude for he has been taking care of her 2-year-old child.
His efforts to reach out to the woman’s parents bore no fruits.
“What I want are my things, I don’t want her back. We don’t understand why she carried ash with her, for what?” He lamented.
Mbagara Sub-location Assistant Chief Rose Juma, while confirming the incident, said he got a tip that the woman was hiding at her step-sister’s home and had advised her husband to report the case to the police.
Victor is begging her estranged wife to bring back his belongings and swore never to take her back again.
