The family of slain popular Harambee Stars and Ingwe fan, Isaac Juma, has been awarded land and a house.
Juma, whose home was in Ebunyere Village in Mumias West Sub-county, was killed by unknown people at night in January in cold blood after responding to a suspected robbery attempt at his home.
Reports indicated that Juma’s murder was a plot to acquire his land in the middle of a conflict with family members.
The county government of Kakamega, as a way of condoling with his family and acknowledging his support for local football, purchased for them a piece of land and built a house.
Mama Farida Juma, Juma’s widow, officially received the property on Saturday. She was also given foodstuffs and other household items courtesy of the county government in a function graced by Governor Fernandes Barasa.
