Chiloba’s manner of death led to public outcry by human rights organizations.

Police in Uasin Gishu are advancing on the investigation on the murder of gay activist Edwin Chiloba whose body was found stashed in a metal box along a road in Uasin Gishu County.

Three more people, in addition to a freelance photographer and his lover, Jackton Odhiambo, seized on Friday, have been arrested: his cousin, a friend and a taxi driver believed to have aided the disposal of his body.

Police also announced that they have impounded a vehicle used to dispose the fashion designers body.

Preliminary investigations reveal that Chiloba’s eye was gouged out apart from other injuries he sustained.

A Fourth Year student at the University of Eldoret, Chiloba was a popular fashion designer and a model, popular in Eldoret.
