Four people are feared dead in a grisly road accident at Musembe in Lugari Sub-county along the Eldoret-Webuye highway.
At least 10 people have been injured.
The accident, which involved a cane tractor and a matatu, occurred at around 5. 00 am on Sunday morning at the Musembe Stage.
A witness said that the North Rift Shuttle matatu, which was headed to Nairobi, rammed into the sugarcane truck, killing three people on the spot and a fourth person dying at the hospital in the early morning.
The accident happened around the same spot, near Barak Stores, that another occurred last year in the same month of January.
