Lwanda Lugari Secondary, an upcoming county-level school in Lugari Constituency, has managed to produce nine candidates who scored university entry grades in the just-released KCSE 2022 results.
The school also managed to get a slight improvement in its mean score of 3.65 and managed to beat many ‘established’ local schools in the constituency in the number of university entry grades.
Two candidates scored a B (plain) as two others got a B- (minus) each. Five scored a C+ (plus) each as five more received C (plain).
Eleven candidates scored a C- (minus) as 16 got a D+ (plus), 28 D (plain), 24 D- (minus) and 4 E.
In KCSE 2021, the school managed to produce seven candidates with university entry grades and a mean of 3.01.
Lwanda Lugari Director of Studies, Mr. Ben Amaswache, said the results are fair enough considering the school is struggling.
He said they are projecting 15 university entries this year out of the 97 candidates for KCSE 2023.
