Little known Kimugui Secondary beats giants to emerge fourth in the county

The school beat highly ranked schools to emerge among the best.

The little-known Friends Secondary School Kimugui Boys in Bungoma South Sub-county stunned academic giants in the region by producing sterling results in 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

The school scooped up position four in Bungoma County with a mean grade of 8.05, outshining academic giants such as Chesamisi, Teremi, St.Lukes Kimilili Boys, and Bungoma High School.

Speaking to the Western Kenya Times, the school principal, Bonface Nabangi, attributed their sterling performance to the unity between the teachers and parents, who were keen to bring out good results in their candidates despite the many challenges facing the institution.

In the 2022 KCSE results, most of the former giants such as Chesamisi, Teremi, St. Luke’s, and Kimilili Boys registered a negative deviation.
