Chekalini Ward residents accuse their MCA of shifting base to stay with his second wife in Malava

Residents claim the MCA’s absence is paralyzing service delivery, and it won’t take long before they teach him a lesson.

Residents of Chekalini Ward in Lugari Sub-county are now threatening to collect signatures to oust their MCA, Titus Kwoma, for allegedly running away from his responsibilities to stay with his second wife in Malava.

Kwoma was elected for the second term in last year’s general election after spending five years in political cold after he was defeated by Kenneth Indusa, a teacher, in the 2017 general election.

He served his first term between 2013 and 2017.

The residents claim Mr. Kwoma is only seen in the area in funerals but is never at home to attend to issues on the ground.

The residents now threaten to take action against him on grounds that they are not getting essential services after he decided to relocate away from his place of work.
