A man from Chwele in Kabuchai Constituency, Bungoma County, received a heartbreak after all the money he had won through a bet fell in a neighbor’s pit latrine where he had gone to realive himself.
According to a website called Billy O’clock. Philip Wafula, known in the streets as Wafush, had won the money after staking in favor of Real Madrid against Liverpool in the Champions League clash on Tuesday night.
His wife, Elizabeth Nanjala, said her husband, who had not told her about his luck, woke up earlier than usual on Wednesday morning and headed to the shops but came back distraught and went to the bedroom and broke down in tears.
“I heard him soabing and uttering words. When I drew near, I heard him cursing the latrine for taking his hard-earned cash,” Nanjala said.
