The new principal, Cheti Mariciana, being received at Archbishop Njenga Girls, Lugari/WKT
Archbishop Njenga Girls High School, Lugari, has received a new principal as part of the reshuffling by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to better the education sector across the country.
Ms. Cheti Mariciana now takes over from Ms. Rose Chepkirui Tangus who has been in charge of the school for about five years.
Ms. Cheti, before her transfer to Archbishop Njenga, was in charge of Archbishop Okoth-Ojolla Girls High School in Kisumu County.
Ms. Tangus, on the other hand, has been transferred to Kirobon Girls in Nakuru County, a position that has been vacant for some time.

The new development at Archbishop Njenga follows efforts by Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera to change the management of most schools in the constituency as part of his plan to revive the potential of the academic institutions.
Njenga Girls failed to impress in national stage in the recent Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE 2022) results after failing to record a single A (plain) compared to other schools of its caliber.
The school, however, managed to produce six candidates with B+ (plus), as 13 others got B (plain), 44 B- (minus), and 74 C+ (plus).
Candidates who scored a C (plain) were 88, 40 C – (minus), 8 D (plus) and 5 D (plain).
The school also managed to post an impressive mean of 6.554 (C+).
